PACIFIC CHORALE CANCELS MOZART CORONATION MASS CONCERT IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS

Costa Mesa, CA – Given the events of the past week, and the CDC’s new guidelines advising the cancellation of gatherings of 50 or more people during the next eight weeks, it saddens us to announce that we have decided to cancel our May 16 season closing concert and Chairman’s Dinner. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one for the safety and health of our audience, our artists, and our community at large.

If you have already purchased tickets this performance, know that we fully share your disappointment. Although we hope to be able to reschedule the performance, taking into consideration the ever-changing situation at present, we do not expect to have a new date secured for some time to come. With that in mind, please consider the following options for the handling of your tickets:

• • Turn your purchase into a tax-deductible donation to help sustain Pacific Chorale through this immediate crisis and into a brighter future.
  • Put your funds on account as a credit toward the 2020-2021 season.
  • Request a refund of the value of your tickets to the original credit card.

Given the high degree of uncertainty for the near term, we will not be able to reschedule the Mozart Coronation Mass concert or the Chairman’s Dinner within the current season. Once we get through the urgency of managing this crisis, the Pacific Chorale team will focus on how/when we can reschedule these events, and/or adapt our plans for next season to incorporate these changes. We will do our best to keep you informed as our plans continue to evolve.

Looking to the further horizon, plans to continue with our annual Choral Festival in August are moving forward, with singer registration scheduled to begin May 1st. We imagine by August we will all need that time to raise our voices together in healing and in song!
