On the evening of Saturday, March 4, 2023, Pacific Chorale’s chamber ensemble gathered at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach to perform Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610. Featuring the accomplished period instruments of Bach Collegium San Diego and Ruben Valenzuela’s masterful artistry on the organ, Pacific Chorale’s chamber choir captivated the audience with layers of breathtakingly beautiful sonic textures, lush choruses, virtuosic solos, and poignant duets.
