JJ Lopez is a Los Angeles-based tenor and professional session singer whose career spans opera, concert performance and studio recording film, and television. Recognized for his versatility and expressive artistry, he has established himself as a sought-after performer both on stage and in the recording studio. JJ is thrilled to be making his Segerstrom Concert Hall solo debut with the Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony.

JJ made his Los Angeles Opera mainstage debut in El Gato Montés alongside Plácido Domingo and performs regularly as a member of the Los Angeles Opera Chorus and Los Angeles Master Chorale, with which he has appeared as a featured soloist for Messiah, Bruckner’s Great Mass, and Carmina Burana. His operatic repertoire includes leading roles such as Rodolfo (La Bohème), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Alfredo (La Traviata), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), and Ferrando (Così fan tutte).

As a session vocalist, JJ has recorded for acclaimed composers including John Williams, J.J. Abrams, Brian Tyler, and John Powell, with credits on major motion pictures including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Toy Story 5, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Venom, How to Train Your Dragon, Superman: Genesis, and Minions vs. Monsters, as well as television productions including The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse and the Emmy Award-winning Elena of Avalor.

JJ holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music and continues to enjoy a dynamic career performing on the concert stage, in the opera house, and on some of Hollywood's most celebrated film and television soundtracks.
