Pacific Chorale recently participated in an exciting holiday fundraiser hosted by South Coast Plaza.
36 Southern California arts organizations contributed one-of-a-kind decorated trees for a spectacular exhibit and auction taking place November 14-December 4 at the internationally renowned shopping destination in Costa Mesa. The trees were on view for free to the public daily at The Pavilion, an open-air space at South Coast Plaza’s north parking structure.
Pacific Chorale’s tree was decorated by designer David Navarro of Jacob Maarse Floral Design in Pasadena, with Artistic Director Robert Istad personally participating in the decorating.
The public was given the opportunity to bid on the trees in an online charity auction, with all proceeds directly benefiting the corresponding organization. Trees were delivered to the winners in time for their holiday celebrations. South Coast Plaza is making an additional donation to three organizations, awarded for outstanding design as selected by a panel of judges: $2,500 for the third prize winner; $5,000 for the second prize winner and $10,000 for the grand prize winner.
Thank you, South Coast Plaza, for your support of the arts!
