Tomáš Kačo is a talented pianist and composer who began playing the piano at the age of five and later studied at the Janáček Conservatoire and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he embraced his Romani heritage, which greatly influenced his music. Kačo has performed at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Metropolis Performing Arts Center, and collaborated with notable musicians such as Ida Kelarová and John Patitucci. He has composed music for orchestras, choirs, and film, including commissions for the Czech Philharmonic and the Czech presidency of the EU. His debut album My Home and subsequent releases reflect his unique blend of Czech, Romani, and classical influences. In 2023, Kačo was awarded an honorary medal from the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, and his latest album, My Songbook (2024), features his arrangements of Czech folk songs.
