Highlights: Pacific Chorale’s Choral Festival 2023

After a three-day intensive rehearsal schedule with Artistic Director Robert Istad, Pacific Chorale’s Festival Chorus performed in a free concert at Renée & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

The program featured a choral favorite, Schubert’s reverent Mass No. 2 in G., with solos performed by Pacific Chorale singers Katy Compton, Daniel Coy Babcock and Michael Segura, and Dr. Jung-A Lee on organ. The Festival Chorus also performed Vaughn Williams’ O Clap Your Hands as well as Hark, I Hear the Harps EternalShenandoah, and Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing.

This concert would not be possible without the generous support of our Platinum Season Sponsors, Phillip N. and Mary A. Lyons, and the 2023 Choral Festival Sponsors, Charles and Ling Zhang. The Choral Festival is also funded in part by the City of Costa Mesa’s Arts Grant program, with additional support provided by our Corporate Season Sponsor, Capital Group.
